The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into an allegation that an off-duty officer assaulted his partner.
In May 2021, following a criminal investigation, the officer was charged with impedes breathing and assaults person in a family relationship. The matter is still before the Court.
The officer has since resigned from the Police.
The Authority is satisfied that the Police investigation was appropriate and thorough.
